The platform has Newsletter Subscription integration with Mailchimp. By enabling this feature, email addresses for marketing and mailing lists can be collected from various customer touch points across the site. A Mailchimp account is required to use this feature.
There are 3 different ways to add Newsletter Subscriptions:
1. Homepage Opt In
This option adds a mailing list subscription block to the homepage, above the footer.
In the CMS, select Messaging > Newsletter.
Config
Enable/Disable: use the check box to enable/disable the Newsletter Subscription settings.
Mailing Service: select Mailchimp from the dropdown.
API Key: enter the Mailchimp API key.
Subscription Block
Enable: enables the subscription block above footer.
Image: adds an image to the subscription block (optional) - see Carcloud logo in example image above.
Title: add a title to the subscription block (e.g. Sign Up Now!).
Subtitle: add a subtitle to the subscription block (e.g. Receive our newsletter).
Name Placeholder: placeholder to display in Name field.
Email Placeholder: placeholder text to display in Email field.
Button Text: text displayed on submit button.
Success Message: text display in subscription block after details are submitted.
2. Booking Page Opt In
A newsletter opt in check box can be added to the booking page to collect email addresses from customers during checkout.
Enable and configure this in the CMS via Booking > Create/View Booking > Newsletter Opt in Field. You will need to configure Mailchimp details via Messaging > Newsletter.
3. Customer Profile Opt In
A newsletter opt in check box can be added to the Customer Profile information page (for customers with Customer Profile enabled).
Enable and configure this in the CMS via Booking > Customer Admin > Promotions Mailing List. Mailchimp details will need to be configured in this section. A separate mailing list can be selected for this option (e.g. to assist with filtering out registered customers from general site visitor signups).
