The quickest and easiest way to configure Confirmation and Cancellation emails is to use Carcloud's Simple Email configuration. This can be enabled by going to Messaging.
Email Sending: from the drop down, select "Carcloud Simple Email"
Sender (From) Email: add the email address you want displayed to the customer. If you do not wish to receive replys, enter something like "firstname.lastname@example.org"
Sender Name: enter the sender name as you want it displayed to customers in their inbox.
BCC Email (Optional): BCC email is useful if you want an additional copy to be sent to a separate address.
3. Reservation Notifications
Rejected Payment Subject: subject for emails when a payment cannot be processed. Can include site name or a reference code by including %sitename% and %code% parameters.
Confirmation Email Subject: subject for confirmation emails. Can include site name or a booking reference by including %sitename% and %code% parameters.
Confirmation Attachment: upload any further documentation you want to send out with booking confirmation emails.
Cancellation Email Subject: subject for cancellation emails. Can include site name or a booking reference by including %sitename% and %code% parameters.
Logo Image: upload you company logo to be included on emails sent to customers.
Header Background Colour: select a colour to be used in the header background.
Confirmation Title Colour: select a colour to be used in the confirmation title.
Confirmation Title Background: select a colour to be used in the confirmation title background.
Confirmation Number Colour in Subtitle: select a colour to be used for the confirmation number title.
Confirmation Subtitle Background: select a colour to be used in the subtitle background.
4. Email Template Settings
Confirmation Title: text to be send in email as Confirmation Title.
Cancellation Title: text to be send in email as Cancellation Title.
Cancellation Content: this is the content of the email that will be sent on cancellation.
In addition to the configuration above, there are some other areas in the CMS that allow for further email configuration;
Booking > Confirmation Email Instructions: use this text box to provide generic instructions for bookings to be appended to the confirmation email
Depots > Confirmation Email Instructions: for each depot, at the bottom of the Edit Depot screen, you can provide Depot specific instructions to be appended to the confirmation email.
